How to perform

Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat, heels close to your glutes. Press through your heels and lift your hips until your body forms a straight line from knees to shoulders. Squeeze your glutes at the top for a second, then lower under control. A good starting point before progressing to hip thrusts, and a useful warm up for lower body sessions. Common mistakes: pushing through the toes rather than the heels, and arching the lower back to gain height.
